About Us

Mid-State Pools & Spas was formed in Dublin, Georgia in 1980. Originally operating out of a small rental building, in 1998 the company expanded into a 7,500 sq. ft. facility where the headquarters is currently located. Mid-State Pools & Spas has since added locations in Sandersville, GA and Vidalia, GA.

Mid-State Pools & Spas is a proud member of The Association of Pool & Spas Professionals (APSP), SCP’s Escape To Your Backyard Program and Pro Pool Alliance. We have a highly knowledgeable staff with a combined 200 years experience in the pool industry. Our team attends trainings and continuing education classes annually in order to stay on top of the latest technology and processes in the pool industry.

Refund and Return Policy

Thanks for shopping at Mid-State Pools & Spas Inc. You have 10 business days to return an item from the date you received it. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. your item must be in the original packaging. Your item need sot have a receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds: Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item. If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment.) You will receive the cred with in a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer’s policy.

Do you service hot tubs?
Yes!
Which brand hot tubs do you service?
Marquis, Spacrest, and Strong Spas.
What brand chemicals do you carry?
BIO Guard, E-Z Chlor, Natural Chemistry, and a select specialty chemicals.
When do I backwash?
You backwash when the filter pressure gauge reads 10 lbs more than the normal operating pressure when the filter is clean. This varies on every pool, so know what your regular pressure is when you have a clean filter.
How do I backwash?
Sand Filter: Unroll your backwash hose, if you have one. If you have a dial valve, after turning off the pump, you depress the handle and turn the handle clockwise to the backwash setting. (180 degrees from filter) Turn the pump back on and you are backwashing. Run the pump for approximately 3 minutes or until the water runs out clear. After backwashing, turn your pump off and move the valve to the rinse position, if applicable. Rinse for approximately 3-5 seconds. With the pump off, put the valve back in the filter position.
Water samples: How much water, what type of container, where to take it from?
Any CLEAN container will work. We like to have at least a cup, preferably taken from elbow length of the opposite end of the return in the pool.
Why do I need to shock my pool?
Shocking a pool eliminates chloramines in the water. Chloramines are combined chlorine which is inactive. They also cause the strong smells that are often mistaken for too high of a chlorine reading. Shocking also oxidizes organic materials. In our area, we recommend shocking once a week during the swimming season.
